Why this tool is useful
Violet noise, also called purple noise, has the highest concentration of high-frequency energy of all the standard noise colors, producing an extremely bright hiss-dominant sound. It is used in hearing research and audiology to test high-frequency hearing sensitivity and tinnitus masking. Unlike more commonly used noise colors, violet noise is rarely used for sleep or focus purposes due to its harsh character at high volumes, but it serves important applications in professional audio testing and acoustic laboratory work.
